We will be joined by 3 community representatives:
Nancy Reid, from the Coalition of Persons with Disabilities NL who will be sharing who COD-NL is and what they do – Educating us around full inclusion and how accessibility is fundamental to participation in society and their work to advance an inclusive and equitable society for all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
Amanda Lush, from EmpowerNL, providing an overview of services and activities offered at EmpowerNL and details of services available through InclusionNL.
Sandra Cunning from Universal Design who will share UD principles and applications, and highlight the benefits and applicability of UD. They will also take the opportunity to share some the work we have done with the City of St. John’s and the resources we have co-developed that are available to the public related to Home Building. Finally, they would welcome a discussion around new directions and ideas about how UDNNL can support the broader community.
